Singer-songwriter Charlotte Skadhauge is a late bloomer. In the spring of 2024, at the age of 58, she released her debut album “Ræk ud” (“Reach Out”), with Danish-language pop songs. Her music was well received by critics and by the public. GAFFA wrote: “Skadhauge sends a bottle post full of good vibrations out onto the ocean of music”. Her band – which includes musicians from The Savage Rose, Jonah Blacksmith, Lis Sørensen and others – supports Charlotte’s wide artistic palette, which includes heartfelt pop songs as well as intense rock.
Charlotte Skadhauge is an example that you can live out your dreams and your creativity, even if you are approaching sixty, and the road to get there hasn’t always been easy. In her young years, Charlotte was active on the Danish rock scene as lead singer in the band Beauty and the Beat and as backup singer with, among others, Anne Linnet’s Marquis de Sade, Lars H.U.G., Lars Muhl, Gnags, Niels Hausgaard and Johnny Madsen. Here, three decades later, Charlotte returns to the music scene, now also as a strong songwriter.
